Welcome aboard! Meet Vincent Gaudillière, new member of the Tangram team

Every year, Loria’s teams strengthen with the arrival of new researchers and associate professors. We welcome them and invite you to take a few minutes to learn about their careers and projects!
Vincent Gaudillière is a computer vision specialist and new Associate Professor at the University of Lorraine. He teaches at the Faculty of Science and Technology and carries his research work at Loria, in the Tangram team since September 2024.
His focus is on the problem of automatically identifying a camera’s point of view from the elements contained in an image. His current work incorporates the use of large view-language models to analyze images in a multimodal way. These, eventually combined with purely visual analyses, enable him to study images more accurately and efficiently, especially when dealing with complex and unfamiliar environments.
Originally from Dijon, his professional career has taken him through Grenoble, Lausanne, Nancy and Luxembourg, before returning to Nancy as a permanent member of Loria.
Find out more about his career and research in this podcast (only available in French-speaking version).
