Welcome aboard! Meet Vincent Gaudillière, new member of the Tangram team

Every year, Loria’s teams strengthen with the arrival of new researchers and associate professors. We welcome them and invite you to take a few minutes to learn about their careers and projects!

Vincent Gaudillière is a specialist in computer vision and a new Associate Professor at the University of Lorraine. He teaches at the Faculty of Science and Technology and conducts his research at the Loria, in the Tangram team, since September 2024.

He focuses on the problem of automatic identification of a camera’s point of view based on the elements displayed in an image. His current work incorporates the use of large vision-language models to analyse images in a multimodal way. These, combined with purely visual analyses, should enable him to study images more accurately and efficiently, especially when dealing with complex and unfamiliar environments.

Originally from Dijon, his professional career took him through Grenoble, Lausanne, Nancy and Luxembourg, before returning to Nancy as a permanent member of the Loria.
