Welcome aboard! Meet François Buet, new member of the Synalp team

Every year, the teams at Loria grow stronger with the arrival of new researchers and associate professors. We welcome them and invite you to take a few minutes to discover their careers and projects!
In this episode, meet François Buet, Université de Lorraine Senior Lecturer at Telecom Nancy and researcher at Loria in the Synalp team, since September 2024.
Originally from south-eastern France, he studied at the École des Mines de Nancy. He then did his thesis and a post-doctoral year at the LISN, in Orsay, before returning to Lorraine as a teacher-researcher at the Loria.
As a specialist in Natural Language Processing, he has worked on automatic subtitling and analyzing the representation of male and female speech in the media.
